I find the "drunk fruits" particularly intriguing! So much more colorful than fruit drinks!

That's what I think!  Or was so tired, he simply overlooked it!

I believe that Matt has translated from Spanish and French, so he is either boy-wonder (what with the programming, business and all else) or he is using bablefish and knowledge of a language to get close.  The test is...it got funded!

I didn't feel so bad volunteering my Spanish after this.  They are really, really short of loans.  I totally respect the can-do, make-it-happen attitude he has.  I bet no one is getting much sleep right now.

To be totally fair to Matt, the Spanish wasn't totally standard Spanish, either.  The sentence, "He is 26 years and a son." is literally what it said.  It omitted the verb to indicate he HAS a son.  Accurate translation there.  The challenge for me in some of the Spanish translating is that little punctuation is used.  Sometimes three major ideas are one sentence, and it is hard to keep it true and yet proper in English.  Translating is an art...

In Spanish you don't say "I am 26 years old", you say "I have 26 years".  The verb "tener", conjugated here as "tiene" means "to have".  So that sentence literally translates to "He has 26 years and a son", which makes grammatical sense, though in English you would say "He is 26 years old, and has a son".  Whatever translator he used got the first half of the translation right, but totally missed the second.  Likewise, "frutas tropicales y bebidas" should certainly be translated as "tropical fruits and drinks", not as "tropical and drunk fruits".  I could see how a machine could make the mistake, though.
