I don't want to bother the busy Kiva staff with this question, so I thought I would ask it here.   I am not really clear about the "Journal" section of the Kiva.org website.  I am assuming it is reports from the borrowers about their situation since receiving funds, correct?  What does the "recommend" signify?  What am I saying if I click on it?  Is there a way to see if one of "my" borrowers has posted anything?  And is there a way to reply to any of the borrowers' postings?
Thanks!

I will refer you to a long thread on journals which covers most of your questions:
http://www.kivafriends.org/index.php/topic,256.0.html

Journals can be accessed either from the Journals button or from the bottom of each borrower's page in your portfolio.  You can post comments from either place, but the recommend button is only available in the listing through the Journals button.  We all puzzle over the meaning of the recommend button.
