David Morales Ayala  plays ads over his vehicle-mounted public address system

The loan was for upgrading the sound system, so he possibly wins the prize for potentially most annoying business activity  Cool
His lender funded the whole $1000! - wow...

Tamam Alakbarova doesn't just clean toilets, she OWNS one and rents it out for use by others.

"She began her business with $400 loan from Normicro in 2002 and rented the place to use as bathroom for IDPs."

I had to get in this loan!  And look - I have a kiva credit to cover it!

Néstor Cabello-  Ecuador

EDIT:
Noticed, a little later, the wording on the wall.
Could probably use Ramon's help or someone else's,
but it looks something like, "Dios bendice el trababjo (el trabajador?)"
If that's what it is, I think it's something like,
"God bless the work" or "God blesses the work" or "God bless the hard worker(s)"
Whichever it is, it's nice and for me, it adds to the pic.

that's a truly superb picture of Néstor Cabello the coffin-maker.

Shame it doesn't quite include all of the writing on the wall.   My Spanish isn't too hot, but here's a stab:
"Dios bendicion el trabajo" ? - or, "Dios bendiciones el trabajos".   Whichever, may God's blessing be on our work, a wonderfully appropriate sentiment given what he's making.

Peter

edit: posted this while Jill was making her edit!  Great minds think alike and all that..
