I'm starting a microcredit project in my Rotary club. We are using Kiva as sort of a pilot project to help educate ourselves and build awarenss about microcredit while we look for a suitable Rotary connected microcredit project. If anyone is, or wants to, use Kiva with their Rotary club, or is involved with other Rotary microcredit projects, I'd love to hear from you.

Hello, John - glad you found this forum!  In the past, I have been a frequent contributor... a little less so lately but I still keep my eye on it regularly.

KF's, John and I both belong to another group with an online forum, which is how we "met".  Based on the posting he made there (same one posted here) I encouraged him to visit Kiva Friends as THE place to learn more about Kiva and microcredit.

I went looking for the thread about the online microfinance university - wanted to recommend it to John since several of you have found it worthwhile - but couldn't remember where it was.  If anyone can point him to it, jump in!

The Microfinancing board has lots of interesting topics John (and others!) might like, including the UNCDF Microfinance Distance Learning Program.
