"Maria Esther has a small business selling ornamental plants.
She has been in this business for 20 years. She grows the plants herself and then sells them to her customers. She sells flowers and green plants. She will use the loan to buy new species of plants and good soil so that she can offer new products and also increase her inventory."

KIVA entrepreneur Catalina Osorio "took a course to learn how to make crowns for tombs of the dead and she makes little decorations in her free time. Three years ago she finished her class and now she works making and selling the crowns and decorations outside of a cemetery where many people pass by."
