Kay,

Agree, I wanted group 1 just for Alexandra, but Group two with Alexandra for Ecuador is the BEST option.

The bicycle guy is sooo much better when the photo was enhanced.

Now I am confused about the two "extra" inside pages.  Is it going to be January 2008 or Kiva facts, quotes, pictures and such?

It also means she most likely will be the "Cover Girl" for most calendar promotions and plastered all over the Internet for all eternity!  Cheesy Laugh

Well, at least for 2008!

Hey Colette the extra inside pages are going to be January 2009.  For some reason it seems there is no option for producing these two open text pages.

So I guess that means that we can have 13 pictures plus a cover.  As long as two from Ecuador are OK, then we can keep the men in balance AND keep Alexandra!  Just no little pictures.

The good thing is that other than the quotes and the back page, there isn't a lot to fuss over and this project can be wrapped up.

Well the voting is based on groups of 14 pictures, 13 inside the calendar and one on the cover.  Assuming you voted for the second set, which doesnt include Alexandra, if she were placed on the cover, that would give us 15 pictures, one too many, and so one of the other 14 would have to be removed anyways...unless we place 2, 3, or 4 pics on the cover

Yeah things are coming along pretty well.  Christopher has a pretty nice and simple, yet informative back cover which is a very effective means of exposing kiva, kiva friends, and kivastore....the write ups for the 13 entrepreneurs within the calendar have just been wrapped up by Oli and myself, just finished my half moments ago, and after we proofread each other, we will be submitting them to the forum for quick review and editing before they move on to Christopher to place in the calendar.  That will be a relatively quick and simple process.  Even though we have yet to finalize who will be placed in the calendar we have completed write ups for all the possibilities so that they are ready to go.  Beyond that, the quotes will work much the same way, and be even easier, because they are already written...its just a matter of choosing the most effective and important ones.  That to should not take long, and even if it did we wouldnt have a choice because it needs to be off to Fiona probably by mid week.  The only thing Im worried about is the cover.  I hope we dont have to rush it too much, but Im crossing my fingers.  Dont know if anyone has ideas about covers, but I like this layout.  Im not suggesting it, just throwing something out there to get the creative juices flowing...Im sure Christopher's on top of it but any little bit helps.  Anyone with cover ideas or example pics, throw them out there.

Here is the back cover so far if you havent seen it:

1. My vote according to the original rules is Group 2 with Ruksana on the cover. I like the mix better than Group 1 in general, and in particular would really like to omit that uninspiring picture of the frowning baker.

2. If rules are off, my own preference would be to include Alexandra, but swap her for Ramon Garcia, which for me is the weakest of Group 2. I'd really like to keep Armando, even if it means two for Ecuador, because the picture makes me smile, it includes a man, and it's the only one of a traditional nuclear family.

I agree that it would be a shame to omit Alexandra, although she's the third woman with produce. If she were to be the third, and the second from Ecuador, perhaps the duplication would be less apparent if she had the cover. I think I still like Ruksana best for the cover though.

Thanks to Christopher and everybody who has put in work on this calendar. No matter which way it ends up, it's going to look great!
