Hi all,

Well, Agents of Change is set to launch its 2008 Riding to Break the Cycle campaign! Last year we took 21 young people from Vancouver and beyond on a Pacific Coast cycling adventure, raising over $30,000 entirely dedicated to Kiva loans. We're doing it again beginning May 31st, 2008 in Vancouver, and aiming even higher Smiley

If anyone lives, or has contacts, on the Pacific Coast we'd love to hear from you! We'll need help coordinating local events and presentations, finding places to stay and food to eat, and would just love to meet more Kivans en route. Special thanks to Julia for coordinating our visit to LA last year (and Mike, Mark, Kelly and others), and of course to Fiona for her endless support and the rockin' Kiva party in San Fran last year!

Hope to hear from people, and check out all the OTHER Kiva inspired stuff we're up to Smiley

Shawn,

That's awesome. And what a great route [envious!!]

I'm about 45 minutes from Santa Cruz and San Francisco. Not yet sure if I'll be around when you all are coming through, but keep me / kivafriends in the loop - maybe could help out someway in Santa Cruz. Or can some of us join you for the San Francisco to Santa Cruz leg!?  Smiley

Marc is organizing the Los Angeles event (and I'm helping)

If you are in the LA area and want to help too, please give me a shout, Marcs not on this message board.
thanks

I get up in the morning determined to both change the world and to have one hell of a good time. Sometimes, this makes planning the day difficult.

Hey Kevin,

We're definitely up for having people join us for stretches, and definitely looking for help in Santa Cruz  (and everywhere else) Thumbs Up Even any school/church/community centre/whatever contacts that might be willing to put a roof over our heads - every dollar we don't spend on accom goes to lending!

We had a few people last year fundraise towards the ride and join for stretches and expect even more this year - might even have a couple of Kiva staffers join us for a bit out of San Fran!

Anyone fell free to post/contact me with questions. We even have spots left to do the whole ride Wink
