Please find monthly (+2 bonus) wallpapers in the Kiva Calendar 2008 style attached below.
I hope you are able to make good use of them, their native resolution is 1024x768 but you probably have some options to center, stretch (or even tile) the image for those with different screen sizes.

If you think you're too small to make a difference try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito, or give kiva.org a try.

$15 for 5 calendars but it costs $25 to ship to Canada bringing the total to $40U.S. Must these calendars be shipped by air rather than land which might bring the shipping costs down?

that's weird. I ordered 5 a few days ago, and shipping airmail to UK was just $18..

I ordered 10 calendars for $ 30.00 plus $ 20.00 for shipping for a total of $ 50.00.
The actual postage om the label was $ 11.00
The fact that I live in Ontario, not to far from N.Y. State where the shipment came from, may have made a difference compared to shipping it to B.C.
I didn't really mind the high shipping cost since, as I mentioned previously, calendars of that size & quality retail here for from $ 16.00 to $ 18.00 & higher.

So if you would've ordered 15 the shipping would presumably have been much higher.

Anyone checking out the photos included in the calendar and uncertain about the photos, please note that the strip of dates and information along the bottom portion of the pictures is NOT present there in the actual calendar, and it is a calendar format like any typical calendar.

I found the shipping costs high too as they were sent priority. Perhaps if they are ready for Oct 09 we can have them sent surface mail. I have sent a number as Xmas Cards...Xmas Cards cost $5-$6.50 at the Hallmark store so I didn't feel bad for the extra cost in shipping. Note: kiva only charged me $5.95 on my first batch of 20 and the actual cost was $27.00 (I think). I did send them the extra money to cover costs. Hopefully for the $4.95 each they will produce some new lenders. Happy Holidays everyone...Carol

Great way to make use of them Carol...I think its safe to say that the next time around the calendar will be ready to go quite a bit sooner than it was this year, at least it should be. The idea was started and jumped on just a bit late, as you may or may not already know, and it was remarkable that it was even completed by the early Oct deadline. Im hopeful, even with any enhancements/changes/additions, it will all be a much smoother process next year...we more or less know what we're in for, which should allow more time for collecting ideas on how to move as many of these as possible.
