Jim, I'm so glad you're going to post at Kivapedia! I only had a chance to skim your material but I think we're going to do a lot of collaborating in the future  Party

Hi Richard,

I figured it out, and posted the lesson plans on Kivapedia. The trick was editing the education connections template, not the education main page, which is locked.  Thanks for your help!

Evelyn and everyone involved in this thread- Yes! Im really excited about collaborating on this to develop a comprehensive Kiva curriculum!

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share my modest contribution to the effort to develop curricula for teaching using Kiva. I welcome your feedback, comments and suggestions.
Thanks,
Jim

Thanks Evelyn!

I haven't gotten a star in years!

By the way, we are looking for a few teachers to "user-test" a survey that involves Kiva and education. It should take about 15 minutes. Would you (or others on this thread) be available or interested? Please contact me at jim@kiva.org.

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim,
I was just visiting Kivapedia to take a closer look at your curriculum ideas. I found you now have a very interesting Lesson Plan Template, but your other work has disappeared! Will you be bringing it back? I want to be sure I don't duplicate anything you've done!
Evelyn

Hi Evelyn,

Thanks for catching that, I was just experimenting with a new curriculum planner so that teachers could write and upload Kiva lesson plans on the web. The link is now correct.

Best,

Evelyn suggested I post this info to this thread. So, I hope you're not seeing it twice.
=======
I'm rather new to Kiva Friends and I hadn't seen any mention of a terrific book. Though written primarily for children, it's a great book about microfinance. "One Hen" tells the story of a young boy in Ghana who, beginning with one hen he buys with a few coins left over from a micro-loan his mother had received, gradually builds a chicken empire. But the neat part is that the story of Kojo is based upon the true story of Kwabena Darko who is now on the board of Opporunity International and was the founder of Sinapi Aba Trust.

A librarian from my local library had moved from the adult to the children's section. She knew of my interests and one day she stopped me in the hall and said she hoped I didn't mind that she had put a book on hold for me. I recommend checking it out for yourselves. If you don't have kids, you'll enjoy it all the same. The back of the book is packed with MF info. But don't wait to find the book, the website "ONEHEN.ORG" is wonderful. I think it will make you smile.

Hi Emily!   Welcome

That's really cool!  Thank You

One question I have right off the bat is where does Campus Kiva and higher education in general fit in with all of this?  Smiley
