Some of you may have seen my post in another section a while back asking for development help for this application, but now I'm posting to announce that it is finally done!!

The Giving Tree is a Facebook application that allows users add recently posted businesses (loans) from Kiva to their profiles.  We feature 3 loans at a time, and once 50 people have supported a particular loan, we will post a new loan on our page and make a $25 loan from outside funds to the loans that was fulfilled on our site.

This is basically a way to give away other people's money to businesses that you would like to support - all for free!

So please, I urge you to go take a look at our application and get your friends to do the same.  We are currently working on a development plan and figuring out what features we are going to include soon, so do not hesitate to contact me or the development team (through Facebook) with any questions, comments, or suggestions.

Also, for those people actually located in the Bay Area, this app was developed for the Stanford Facebook class, which has been getting a bunch of press here lately (and sporadically throughout the country).  There is a list of press related to the course - http://credibilityserver.stanford.edu/captology/facebook/?page_id=16

I just want to say thank you for adding this application. I've been desperately trying to get every one of my Facebook friends to sign up for it, and I will continue to do so.

I love the fact that, as of this writing, this application has already helped fund 18 loans. Yippeeeee!!!  Dance
