How about an Announcements topic on KivaFriends for information from Kiva staff?! Maybe only open to posts from Kiva staff. A spot on KivaFriends where Kiva site changes, policy changes, general announcements and problems could be announced or explained by a Kiva staff person.
The information from the Announcements topic could be discussed in other threads.

I would echo that suggestion, particularly if it were restricted to only Kiva staff posts. Anything to facilitate communication. The discussion can then occur in all the other threads like it does now. Dan

Yes, me too. I like that idea. As Dan said, anything to facilitate communication. And it makes particular sense now that Kiva are pushing people to KivaFriends to get their questions answered.
I'd say certainly only open to posts from Kiva staffers, rather than "maybe".
Where would it go? Presumably on the > kiva.org > Kiva - Loans That Change Lives board, pinned at the top.
As well as that, it might be useful if on Kiva.org itself there were to be a "What's New" section in the "About", where the type of important announcements ej mentioned could be documented.

Peter I didnt hear about Kiva pushing people to this site for assistance...just curious where you guys heard that from...if so, thats pretty cool in a way, making this forum a part of Kiva's customer service department.

I find not direction in the readings of those with whom my eccentricities are similar, but rather validation.
My only solace is that I find a peaceful place where I might be resigned to my depriving loneliness.

Maybe you could move Liz's update on W.E.E.C. as the first announcement.
