I tried mine out today, but it showed errors in most of the Details fields. There must have been an error in the calculation, but I was not able to correct it. I had the analysis-tool activated, too...
I'll try to bring it tomorrow and maybe someone could look over it if I send it?
Thanks Oli

C would be the man for that Oli...did you download his latest version? 1.3 I believe.

Also Oli, I have to put my cursor in the home cell (A1) of the My Loans tab on the receiving sheet and do a Paste Special in order to get it to work -- just Cntl-V to paste doesn't work for me. Dunno if that will help or not.

Okay, I'll give your suggestion a try Diane... I did use the 1.3 version and I have the box beside the Analysis-Tool Pack ticked. Christopher already offered some help...I will bring my file tomorrow and then try to solve the issue with what Christopher sent me or ask you all for more help...the interesting thing is that some parts of the sheet worked and some didn't... Oli, after I had everything down, I went to update my document yesterday and I was surprised to see some errors on the details page....I thought it had something to do with some of the changes and formulas I put in myself....what I did was make a loan to make sure the changes worked...so i thought for a minute I messed up my entire documents....for some reason I thought to "undo" and then copy and paste the export data again...and it worked as it should...I dont use the keyboard shortcuts, maybe try to "select all" and then copy and paste from the right mouse click menu...I dont know why that would matter, but the second time around thats how I did it...and thats the only thing I did different from the first time. Also try as Diane suggested, highlighting the A1 cell when you paste. Or else try downloading the file again and starting over...you never know.

Just noting a couple more stat features people can add at their own discretion....
on the summary tab I added the total amount of all loans to entrereneurs Ive helped fund...mine came to about 85k...gives you a perspective on what sort of scale you are involved in...you helped make 85k in loans you might say...
after that I added avg loan for my entrpreneurs, came to about $843,
then I added something I really like and I just called it "loan funding %" for lack of a better title. What it calculates is what % of the total loan amount of your entrpreneurs that you personally contribute...mine was 2.93%...
and finally...I just added a cell that displays how many loans I make per month on average...its nice to watch that one rise...
oh and a set of quick access links to various places on kiva, KF, and kiva related sites on the internet like igive or my personal google map...also on the details tab, next to the name there is the business id number and i just hyperlinked that to the picture page on kiva of each person...much quicker than accessing the loan page itself if all you need is a picture reference, and definitely eliminates the tedious work of saving every pic, placing it in the document and linking to it from within the document...thats not worth the effort and not very efficient either. At the same time remember that Kiva can, does, and has switched up pages, so its not guaranteed that the pics will always be found at their original link--keep that in mind if you plan on linking pics to a few hundred loans and weigh if its worthwhile....Hope this helps a little guys..just some more ideas

I'm sorry if this is already answered somewhere, but I don't think it was (and I am swamped in real life and can't read through the whole thread again right now), but... I'm happily using Christopher's spreadsheet and am wondering if I'm right that every day I have to Export a new snapshot from My Portfolio and import it manually into the sheet in order to populate it. Since the Export is manual, there isn't any other way to keep this accurate, right?
thanks, --Diane.

Diane, Yes you are right, there is no other way to keep it up to date. The only way a lender can get the values needed is through the export button - you have to download the data and then add it to the spreadsheet. Try as I may I have been unable to directly link to the data due to logging in, and then the export format (excel would not be too easy either). I wish there was a way via an API or non protected feed - perhaps that something Kiva could / should be considering. C

If you think you're too small to make a difference try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito, or give kiva.org a try.

Very small inconvenience for such an advantageous piece of work...I dont know how but I already had someone ask me where to find your program/file C....what I do Diane is just make a habit of exporting my info from Kiva whenever I make a loan...its part of the process now and it becomes exciting actually to see how your statistics all change!

A couple more quick statistics fun to track and watch on your personal excel files...hope you guys dont mine me posting these...I just find them so exciting to watch...
these work best and most easily if you re-loan everything that is paid back to you and if you always loan the same amount, for me $25...I added a couple re-loan statistics...
first was the amount re-loaned, and since, for me that is always the same as the amount paid back, its pretty straightforward....then from that I added... "# of reloans", also simple if you reloan the same amount all the time... i can easily see that of my 101 loans, 3 so far have been re-loans for a total of $75...easy to do in your head now, but in a short while it would be a hassle to try to figure it out in my head..then i calculated the %, which states that of my combined loans, 2.97% are re-loans...it should be fun watching that number fluctuate...they all update automatically, but again are contingent upon you loaning the same amount and re-loaning all paid back amounts...for those who dont but like these features, Christopher might be able to work out something a bit more sophisticated to meet your needs...
