Claus-Peter, I've found that GHAPE loans can take a very long time to disburse, and I think I read somewhere here that it was because of how remote many of the borrowers were.  Also sometimes Action Now: Kenya loans take a while to disburse, but that's because the AN:K process is to show with the client and be sure they get the best price on the goods they need, rather than just giving them the cash.  (And AN:K does not mark the loans as 'disbursed' until the money has been spent for the goods.)

So for GHAPE, to me, Nov. 1 to Dec. 9 seems not unreasonable.  If it gets to JANUARY 9, I might start being concerned.  Smiley

Yes, unfortunately, GHAPE loans can take a very long time to be disbursed--although there's a chance that that loan has already been disbursed, but not marked as such.

In any case, check out this GHAPE loan:  http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=10280:  funded on May 18th and disbursed on Aug. 4th! Shocked

The only "consolation" has been that the first payment was made only 3 months after the loan was disbursed, not 4 months, as indicated in the description! Tongue

Yeah, it seems to be not unusal for this MFI ... But nevertheless, it is back-breaking to wait for such a long period. Unfortunately there is no better MFI available for Cameroon, or Huh?
