Q: I helped to fund a loan but it has not been disbursed yet. What's taking so long for the loan "Raised" status to become "Active"?
A: There are usually a few factors involved, but what it boils down to is that some MFIs have cash reserves on hand and can distribute funds to their businesses once a business is funded (therefore making it "Active" right away). Others have limited funds and will a few weeks until money arrives to then distribute to businesses they've listed on Kiva and officially begin the loan.
