Be sure to tune in to "Business Nation" on CNBC tonight, to see a feature length piece about Kiva.org featuring correspondent John Larson (www.kiva.org/lender/john2481) who actually went to Africa to find the entrepreneurs he loaned to!!!!  The footage is absolutely mindblowing and you'll definitely be disappointed if you miss it!

"Business Nation" airs at 9pm Eastern time nationwide, but be sure to check your local listings.

The Kiva piece is on right now, here on the West Coast of the U.S.
I think it's supposed to be shown again in three hours.

It really is quite wonderful.  Maybe the best promo I've seen on Kiva, yet.  Wonderful local color
and colors.  Nice flashing of Diane's Lender pic.  Diane, I never told you, I think it's a great pic of you and Charlie.
Get ready for a lot of new Lenders from this.
I can guarantee you, if I were learning about Kiva for the first time from watching this, I'd join up in a heart beat.
God, now there are some absolutely elegant, beautiful Maasai women on, singing,
in all their phantasmagorical splendor of colors and beads.
And then there's these kids that just came on.... they're so precious.

Watch out world.   Here comes Kiva.

Very good piece on CNBC tonight.  Did everyone see Diane & Charlie?
As usual, Kiva goes down almost right away.  This should mean a lot of new lenders over the next few days.  Wonderful!

Might also mean that there will only be loans from Azerbaijan for the next few days.

Very cool piece. I love the reports that go out and see how businesses are doing and talk to the loan recipient. It brings the journals to life and, dare I say, helps to validate what we're all doing here. That's the kind of story you show off to friends and family who look at you funny when you tell them that you're loaning money to people in the developing world.  Laugh

There is a replay in a couple hours for those who missed the first showing. Hopefully it'll be streamed online soon as well.

Shucks, I missed Diane and Charlie.  Our CNBC famous friends now!  YAHOO!!

When Kiva was on Oprah on (US) Thanksgiving day (Nov 22nd), just out of curiosity I entered my email address 'to be notified' when Kiva was back up and running smoothly.  My notification just arrived this afternoon, just shy of two weeks later!

P.S.  I did it again tonight to test the response again!
