Since I can't reply to the thread Fiona started in Announcements, I just want to say that I find it implausible that this segment would air simultaneously in all time zones as Fiona mentioned.  So, I'll probably check at 7:50 A.M. ET, just to be sure! Grin

See http://www.kivafriends.org/index.php/topic,1473.0.html

Just to clarify - it airs simultaneously in all timezones nationwide.

So, that means it's 7:50am Pacific, 10:50a East Coast, 9:50am Central, 8:50am Mountain.

Hope that makes sense!

Corrected to 8:46 A.M., in all (U.S.) time zones! Smiley

EDIT:  I imagine this assumes the Today Show begins at 7:00 A.M.  If it begins at a different time for you, adjust accordingly!

All -

I just updated the above 2 posts.  First, they changed the time to 8:46am.  Second, I actually found out that it's not a simultaneous nationwide airing.  It's staggered across the nation keeping the same scheduling slot in each timezone.

Sorry for the confusion!!!  And thanks Kay for pointing that out - I called my NBC contact and we spent about 10 minutes trying to understand each other!  We decided to make up some new language to help describe this - SB (Staggered Broadcast) vs. SBAT (Simultaneous Broadcast Across Timezones).  Cool, huh.

Fi

Thanks, Fiona! Cheesy

Just bumping this up as a reminder--because it's scheduled for today (8:46 A.M.), presumably! Smiley

Well, of course, I didn't see a thing about Kiva, but the Christmas trees and decorations looked nice in HD! Huh?

Not I!  But if there had been a segment, I think you would have seen a "reaction" on the Kiva website--which I didn't see!

Glenda,

Do you have an antenna, and if so, is it indoor (on or near the TV set) or outdoor (on the roof)?

Oh Ms. Glenda, how do you live without Animal Planet, History, and Discovery channels just to mention a few?  I've seen shows on invasive species even!

I even had on the Today Show this morning in hopes of it maybe being on today . . . but I couldn't take Matt any longer.

Any news of a possible re-airing Fiona?

Very easily, Eli! I get a lot of nature stuff in the great out-of-doors, Kiss on the internet, in books and in DVDs of programs that were particularly interesting.  Wink Also, friends and family sometimes record something they know I'd like.  I seldom have time to watch anything anyway. Whistle Too busy wandering the woodlands.   Laugh
As for the Kiva show, check out Fiona's post here, if you haven't seen it already.  It's on again tomorrow (I found it somewhere on the internet, and thought it was wonderful.)  Thumbs Up

Maybe they can show the segment on a day close to Christmas when most people will be home and have time to watch the Today Show.
