I've been trying to gather as many countries as I can.  I'm just curious about other Kivans.  How many of the 43 currently listed countries have other friends lent to?  I'm at 38 out of the 43. I also only loan to women which tends to limit my choices sometimes when a country I don't have becomes available.  I also have only lent to one country twice and that was with my first two loans.  Soon I will be starting over again, but I'm always on the prowl for new countries.  In fact, over this past weekend, I picked up 3 new ones including El Salvador and Moldova! Thumbs Up

12 of 43 for me so far, and I'm hoping eventually to have lent to every country.

I only do one loan to each country at a time (In case of unrest or something like that, I've only got one loan going in each place.)

Am at 33, and yes, also always looking to diversify (lately with Afghanistan and the Philippines).

I've loaned to 44 countries :-)  I'm pretty sure that's the full set of all currently-funding countries, but I might be forgetting something.  I was really lucky and snagged a Mongolian loan the other day; that had been the only one I was missing.  With the March loans, I'm hoping to fill out some of the countries I only have one loan for, and avoid the temptation to lend to yet another Peruvian guinea pig farmer ;-)

Hi Ronn,

 Welcome to Kiva Friends!

I currently have 37 of 43, so you are one up on me!

Good for you for only loaning to women, are you a member of the team women empowering women?  It's a very supportive atmosphere there!

I'd be curious if anyone has the real total of countries that EVER have been on Kiva, since some have come and gone (as is evidenced by the numbers some friends have cited).

42 here.  Did not know I had that many until I saw this post and counted.  Will have to check Diane's list to see what I am missing!!  Jane
