I'm not adding, just commenting... when I was a youth and living as an expat in Arabia we had a take on the Twelve Days. While some of the references weren't very festive (seven camels spitting), the first day was "a falcon in a palm tree" - great imagery.
This reminded me of that silly song, and some really great times we had growing up as oil brats in Dhahran in the '60s and '70s!
