Kiva is a great idea to help people start their business and accomplish their goals and dreams. Let's  establish a new service to help people in those contries to pay their medical needs.

There are a lot of people can't even afford to pay for a doctor's visit, buy basic medication, and some people even die because due to lack of fund to be hospitalized  for a fraction amount of money that they don't even own!!!

I am willing to help so this idea becomes real.

You can never help everybody, and it would feel really strange to choose whom to help and whom to deny. I much rather donate anonymously and let the doctors decide...

Many kivafriends are voting right now to get a donation for Doctors without Borders.

Yes, but you've got dozens of people spending hundreds of hours clicking for a few dollars for the cause. It might be more effective to go to http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/donate/ and make a donation. (I think this page is for U.S. donors. Google for other countries.)

Very true of course. But I was a bit critical in my first reaction. The Kiva-model just doesn't seem right to me to use for medicalcosts.

But than I saw it was Jacoub's first posting and I wanted to give him a proper Kiva-welcome.
