Hey everyone,

If you are on Facebook, add the following Kiva app to your profile:
http://apps.facebook.com/kiva_org/

You will be able to display your current lenders and their repayment progress directly on their profile.

Check it out and invite your friends to the app!!!

I just added the app to my profile.  It looks AMAZING!!!  THANKS!  Now, if only I had more friends  Grin

Also, you can select the number of businesses you support to show on your profile page.  Then there is a link "click here to see more..."  However, it seems to quit after showing the first 25 which for me are only the raising or raised status loans.

When I select "All" for number of loans to display it ends up taking some time and then giving an error while loading the page from Kiva.  I guess it can't support my 350+ loans (yet) Cheesy

I'm guessing that I miscounted.  The first time I counted I got 24 and then the second time somehow 25.  I was thinking 25 was a more even number but 24 makes sense.  It would be the first page of our lender profile.

This is totally cool!!! GREAT WORK!

I hesitate to make suggestions because I appreciate so much what you have already done, but ...

I think it would be great if it could support more than 24 loans.  Also, I have been trying to figure out how to create a nice map on my facebook page as well showing the loans.

As I say, I hope you don't think I'm a jerk for making these comments. I really, really appreciate what you have done.  I want all my friends to know about Kiva.

ALSO:  I did it and it looks great:

Timothy Pollington wrote: "I've added the 'My HTML' application with the HTML banner code you can find here http://www.kiva.org/about/banners/ . This then features a big image on my profile page which people can't miss!"

I myself am not techy, but it would be cool if someone could design a nice banner that specifically fits the space provided by the "My HTML" app on facebook......

Also if anyone knows how to put the java script banners on their facebook page,  I would be all ears.

Thank you Thank You to all you computer geniouses who have allowed my facebook page to shout.... Hurrah"I AM A KIVA JUNKIE"

I just put this added this application, and my loans came up on the application "sign up" page. Unfortunately, I can't see them on my profile. I'm new to Facebook so may not be looking in the right place. Can a greater techie than I please tell me if I'm doing something wrong? I want to put some sort of Kiva ad on my page to encourage friends to get involved. Thanks.

Hat Wave Hi Emily and welcome to KivaNuts who also like Facebook...

that particular app has not worked for quite some time... you can join but it doesn't link with Kiva to update and nothing shows on the profiles anymore... sigh

we had an ongoing thread more recently where a bunch of us have passed on our FB links and I remember some discussion last fall about the Kiva app not working but no solutions came out of that.

Got it. Thanks, Jan. I did notice that this was an old thread--just thought I was maybe the last one to know about it. Too bad it doesn't work. Was a good idea.
