Dear Kiva friends, I would like to have your attention to help me with the following idea.
(In case I should have posted this in another place, please accept my apologies and just move it to the right place.)
Last night I visited a friend and told him all about Kiva. As he has been in several places and countries in Africa and travelled a lot for his work (he's an artist/performer) He's very engaged and moved by the work of Kiva.
This friend is also in contact with the organisation for
Festival Mundial and for
Via del Mondo.
Festival Mundial is a activity of three days where artists from all over the world come and play music. Thousands of people come and visit this Festival, which is outdoors, and this audience is the group of people that is very interested in the problems in the world and who are glad to help if they can.
Via del Mondo is a festival especially for children who don't have anybody who takes care of them.
In both festivals we now might have the opportunity to make a lot of promotions for Kiva. We can combinate things and for example have an entertainment-act and promotional activities at the same time. We can decorate a podium with Kiva-flags and give people flyers. We could even have someone (a borrower maybe???) on stage who tells abour his or her experiences. Or have a film or a live video-conference. Anything is possible!
My question is: who can help here? What possibilities do we have and who can help organizing things here? Who can tell me more about what promotional items Kiva can contribute, next to flyers. And even more.... As soon as possible, my friend must make his proposal to the Festval-organisatien next Thurstday morning (GMT+1), so
I have only 24 hours left to make a good plan!
