Matchbox 20 - Lets See How Far We've Come

Logged

I find not direction in the readings of those with whom my eccentricities are similar, but rather validation.

My only solace is that I find a peaceful place where I might be resigned to my depriving loneliness.

The Ashokan Farewell (Civil War - Sullivan Ballou letter of 'goodbye'--the piece is also in Ken Burns documentary--The Civil War)

For those offended by the US Flag: (same as above, but no flag--letter is read with music in backdrop)

Brief interview with Jay Ungar, co creator of Ashokan Farewell, along with performance of song).

Perhaps one of the greatest Love Songs ever from my favorite musician by far - John Denver - You Fill Up My Senses

La Isla Bonita - not a great video but terrific song

Savage Garden - Affirmation (great song and video)

To be honest, it doesn't make me that happy... ...For marketing purposes, the 700+ loans surely were more effective (IMHO).

I totally agree about that, Wolfgang - it's a great insight. It makes me better understand why Kiva has no major lender recruitment activity going on. But the part that does make me happy is that entrepreneurs aren't stuck waiting through the backlog queue and then also through the fundraising queue. Think about how fast they are getting their loans now!

Anyway, I hijacked your comments into this Music thread because I'm feeling pretty positive about the recent Kiva excitement and lender accomplishments and stumbled across this track in something called the "World" music category.

This is an MP3 file that should play in your browser once you click the link.

p.s. This'll be my Kiva video soundtrack, for sure...
