If it's a big deal you can always do a System Restore to take you back a few days when everything was working.

Before doing a system restore, I would suggest downloading the Firefox 2.0 install file (but not installing it yet). Then, I would go to the Windows Control Panel for Installing/Removing Software and find Firefox 3.0 and uninstall it there. Then open and install the Firefox 2.0 file.

Thanks Wolfgang for the advice.  I am able to view videos on the youtube site.  I only seem to have the problems on this site.  Never had a problem until a couple of days after upgrading firefox and I haven't changed any settings. (I don't like messing with anything tech related!) I'm thinking that it may have to do with my application default settings although I have no idea what needs to be changed!  I wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen with the upgrade.  Just hoping it's an easy fix...

Hmmm...,

maybe you can tell us a little more, though.

1. What does my post (reply #62 of 5:22:00 PM) look like?
Do you basically just see 5 lines of texts? Are they closely together or is there room for the 3 videos in between? Any white or black boxes or icons?

2. Do you have "AdBlockPlus" installed? (= is there a little red "Stop"-sign with the letters "ABP" in the top right corner of your browser window?)

3. In Firefox's "Extras" menu there should be an option "settings" (or something like that... I have a German version) - in this menu, there's a tab "content"... are there all the boxes ticked?

4. Same menu, last tab (something like "extended"), sub-tab "network": You could try to delete the cache and increase its size to, say, 200MB.

Maybe this is of any help, too? http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=670685&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

#1)  After your text, there are white spaces and no icons

#2)  Ad-Block doesn't show a stop sign

#3)  Tabs are "clicked" and kivafriends has been added to allow pop-up blocks; Java is enabled

#4)  I increased cache to 200 MB and closed browser.  Problem still exists  Sad

I think I'll pass on the scary system restore for now.  Instead I'll try to uninstall 3.0 and install 2.0.  I don't like 3.0's bookmark feature anyways  Smiley

Thanks again everyone for the advice!  Thank You

re #1: it looks as if your browser notices that there should be a video, then, but does not properly display it; points to some weird problems with the flash settings (or probably rather Firefox 3 in dealing with the flash player), then, for me (or an AdBlocker - that seems more or less excluded by #2 and # 3). (I'm not really an expert, though.)

But what exactly it is, and what will help, I fear I am not able to tell.  Sad

Sorry, Margie, and good luck with the downgrade to Firefox 2.

Take care,
Wolfgang.

This is for Ann who asked me to link to another Tech Ambient track.

This is "I Know That I Know" from Capsula hosted on my music site: RadioOpium.com

http://www.RadioOpium.com/capsula.mp3

This MP3 track should open and play in a browser window.

Thanks, Mark
I have had a long day here and that just song just hit the spot while I started supper.  I think I'll play it again now.

Along with Don't Worry be Happy, I can't resist to post this (no, it's not blasphemy):

Always look on the Bright Side of Life

Take care,
