Colette was correct.  Transparency. 1. A piece of clear acetate containing an image which can be projected onto a screen; used in making presentations to groups.

Where in the hell are we going to to find a venue to accommodate all 248,528 Kiva lenders for a group presentation?  Search Cheesy

it was really a trick question....    I wanted to see if anyone who throws the word around knew what it meant.

Wink Here is the real answer to the question:

In another thread Krizzz suggested:

By the way, wouldn't this Sergey's resort be a great place to organize a worldwide Kivafriends-meeting, someday?

The said resort is: http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=25662
What is good for KivaFriends cannot be bad for KivaLenders...

Well, I guess we can't see transparency--but we can see through it.   Cheesy

To the extent that you are serious, Henry, I think transparency is a current buzz word among management gurus to denote openness of process to the various stakeholders, where things are not decided behind closed doors (or in smoke filled rooms to reach back to a former allusion).  It is a goal similar in concept to the open meeting laws established by various governmental entities.

It's warm and fuzzy to know that it is a goal.  Smiley

If only government were transparent!  Voodoo budgeting is the norm.

Nothing to do with Kiva, but I see the Transparency International Corruption Perception Index shows. at no.1 for good transparency in its affairs, Denmark, followed by Finland, New Zealand, Singapore and Sweden. UK is at no.12 and USA at no.20. At the bottom, as joint no.179, are Somalia and Myanmar.

Thought you might be interested.
