Hi Jan--you can view a Kiva users profile--some are harder to find than others--but you can link up to some through their Kiva Friends profile right here on this forum. When a heavy poster hasnt been around for a substantial amount of time without notice, and people begin questioning as to there whereabouts, its one way of figuring out if they might be active somewhere else, if not here.
In other words, there may be people that come and go in the future, but it helps to know they are well enough off if you see recent loans, or a myspace update for example, etc etc. Its a close knit bunch here, even between those who might not speak directly all that often, and the best thing is that there is
always room for more. The bigger the family the better.
