Where is our Kiva Friend Jundee?  Hasnt signed on in 2008 as of yet, and I recall messaging him in December letting him know his tenacity and spunkiness was missed.  He mentioned his reason for being away which I wont disclose out of concern for his privacy, but rest assured it wasnt on account of being disgruntled with Kiva or KF.  Since his birthday appears on the home page I was wondering if the unlikely was possible that anyone heard anything lately.  He hadnt made any new loans either.

Steve,

I sent him a PM and heard back from him Dec 17.  I saw that his bday was coming up, and I, too, wondered how he was doing.  Anyone hear from Jundee?  Know how to contact him?

Has anyone seen Dottie recently? Huh?  I don't think she's posted for a couple of weeks...

She hasnt been active for two weeks to the day and hasnt made any recent loans that would allow us to believe she is well and/or maintaining involvement.

Steve - how on earth can you find out whether someone has made any recent loans - I didn't think there was a search for that on the Kiva site ? Thinking

and Jill - I haven't been here that long but you guys are great people - however chances are the novelty may wear off and it may not... but if I 'drop off the face' - it will be through choice or something more serious like illness or death - in which case my family will probably not have time or inclination to be letting my online friends know... they have the passwords to my Kiva account with instructions to either keep relending or to donate to Kiva as loans are paid off.

Jill - I think it is lovely of you to worry about people you have become friendly with online but don't add to your load any more than you need to. kay?   Angel

Maybe Dottie is on vacation.   OR   Maybe she is busy working on a block for the Kiva quilt!    Undecided

Hi Jan--you can view a Kiva users profile--some are harder to find than others--but you can link up to some through their Kiva Friends profile right here on this forum.  When a heavy poster hasnt been around for a substantial amount of time without notice, and people begin questioning as to there whereabouts, its one way of figuring out if they might be active somewhere else, if not here.

In other words, there may be people that come and go in the future, but it helps to know they are well enough off if you see recent loans, or a myspace update for example, etc etc.  Its a close knit bunch here, even between those who might not speak directly all that often, and the best thing is that there is always room for more.  The bigger the family the better.  Thumbs Up

.....Nicole

http://www.kivafriends.org/index.php?action=profile;u=842

Well over a month since she's been active.  Since I wasnt around too much in Feb through mid March, maybe I missed something, but has anyone heard from her?  I always enjoyed conversing quite regularly.

yes Steve, I too have missed Nicole's valuable contributions here on KF.

She's quite active on her blog though - which is linked via her KF profile. I like that she lists the things she is grateful for each day, that's something that's easy to forget to do. I hope she'll be back here sometime when she feels she has something she wants to say...
