...for the Martin Trust Group  in Mampong, Ghana, serviced by the Sinapi Aba Trust MFI.

The description for this four month loan inspires confidence.  All the participants are named, and there's even an explanation for why some of the members aren't present for the original group photo on the loan.

The journal makes being a lender on this loan even better, with a great followup sent out today by Kiva Fellow Dylan Higgins.

I'd feel a lot more comfortable making group loans if more of them were handled like this one.

I completely agree: the loan write-up and Dylan's Journal entry today were just about completely on the mark.

Here's an excellent description for a group loan in Peru. It tells how the geography affects the economy and provides interesting detail on three of the borrowers.

P.S. It's a 6-month loan.  Smiley

I agree!  I would be much happier with group loans if we could have this level of detail.  By the way, after viewing the photo, and seeing so many poorly exposed photos at various times on Kiva, I went to Kiva's donation page and ordered a camera for Kiva through their Amazon wish list (they've asked for 50 back in December, and so far have received only 16).
