Even better, you can use the Kiva Friends link to Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/?&tag=kivafrie-20 to rice shop!
There are scads of difference rices available, basmati, jasmine, black, white, red, green, Bhutanese Red, Himalayan Red, brown, sticky, sushi, not to mention the rice cooker in which to make your rice!

Wow! I would have never imagined Amazon having rice! Nifty. And some kinds I'd never heard of! A bit pricier than the rices I usually use, but for when I'm doing something special, like entertaining or something, a really cool rice would be a lot of fun.
And I was thinking the other day of trying making meatless sushi rolls at home (I wouldn't want the ones with real fish in them, cold fish=YUCK) , but the stores I shop at don't have the kind of rice that works best for sushi. Strangely enough, they have the seaweed wrapping things that go on the outside, but not the rice (or that pink ginger that comes with sushi, I guess I'll cruise amazon for that, too, now). Well, now when I get ready to try my hand at sushi, I know where to get the right rice.
