"Our daughters can contribute just as much to society as our sons, and our common prosperity will be advanced by allowing all humanity - men and women - to reach their full potential. I do not believe that women must make the same choices as men in order to be equal, and I respect those women who choose to live their lives in traditional roles. But it should be their choice. That is why the United States will partner with any Muslim-majority country to support expanded literacy for girls, and to help young women pursue employment through micro-financing that helps people live their dreams." - President Barack Obama, June 4, 2009

Here is a very short term loan, though I am not really sure if it is for 1 (as stated in the repayment terms) or 2 months (as stated in the text)  Undecided:

Zoidova Inobat has been working tightly with our program since 2005. She is an active client of our program and she recommended herself as a serious client. Thanks to the previous loans, she has improved the business significantly and increased the business turnover. She lives in the B. Gafurov region and trades in the local bazaar called Farovon. She buys and sells children's clothing. She brings the goods from Istaravshan and the Kyrgyz Republic where she goes twice per month. She has a good assortment. Now Mrs. Zoidova is applying to KIVA with the request of a business development loan of 3000 STJ for 2 months so she can import seasonal wear.

The "Los Pinos" Group is made up of three members: Carmen, Edith, and Maria. The three members are natives of La Guardia, near Santa Cruz, and for twelve years have run their food sales businesses in the La Guardia central market.

Edith has been selling breakfast in the La Guardia central market for 11 years. Edith has four children. She is married but is currently separated, but even with this separation she has managed to keep going, and with the loan Emprender gave her, she will be able to refurbish and build her little house. This lady dreams of expanding her business selling desserts and pastries.

Carmen has four children and lives with her partner Carlos, who works in transportation. With the loan Emprender gave her, she will be able to build two rooms. This lady dreams of having a large, well-known restaurant.

Maria has two children and lives with her partner Aquilino, who works in transportation. The loan Emprender gave her was for construction and refurbishment of her house. This lady dreams of having an ice cream store in La Guardia.

All three members are grateful to Emprender and Kiva for the confidence shown in them with the granting of this loan.

I don't get it. These loans are all long since disbursed, and final payments are coming in very soon. One is being paid back by the entrepreneur on Saturday, two on April 9th, one on the 12th, one the 16th, and one of these was to have made her payment on March 25th! So they've posted a loan that is already paid back.  Huh?

Not if you take into account that these loans have not been really added today to the page but sometime during March and were hold back until today because CEPRODEL must have reached their monthly posting limit earlier last month.

Their oldest loan was posted March 30th, so this one wasn't posted before then, still at least 5 days after the payment was due to come in. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the loan, just seems a bit unusual.

Anyway, by all means support these loans if you choose. I'm waiting for two weeks, having broken the bank on red loans.

Come on, Credits!  SOS
