I will.

Indeed, my problem was also that you hardly can search for the word "group" because every third community has it in its title. That's logical, but it makes it hard to find any group loan group...

Could you (all) help me here?

A. What would the name of the community have to be, to make it pretty clear what it's about, and to help people to find it.
Group loan group? Team up to fund group loans? Group2group?

B. What would the big idea be...?
I think it ought to be about people who do support the idea of group loans and who want to put their kiva-money into it. I guess we would try to make a list of advantages (and disadvantages) of group loans on the main page to try and convince people. If they support it, they can fund a group loan...

I also mentioned before that I would like it if there was the possibility to team up and to fund a group loan together, the advantage being that you together have more power to fund a group. You probably feel more of a connection to the group of entrepreneurs because you are part of a group yourself, and together have made a major contribution to their loan...
However, that would mean a lot of discussion (in different timezones!) before a loan could even be funded...  (And it could be "snatched away" before any consensus is reached). So I don't know whether this idea is viable...

C. Does anybody have any idea how much time this would take, day-to-day...?
D. I'm not good at making logos... Anyone else?

That's it for now. Thanks for the warm welcome (I'm a newbee here) and the encouragement.

Dear Petra,

You are correct that if you put group in the search engine over a thousand groups show up.  Since your goal is to support group loans, using group loans in the name may do it, since at present nothing shows up.  Maybe something such as "Kivans for Group Loans", "Kivans in Support of Group Loans", or Kivan Group Loaners will suffice.  Create a group, do a test and delete as needed.

Using a photo of people in the third world could be used (not sure about copyrights), for example:

As for creating your own  logo, some one with more computer savvy could help.... Ian, Diane, Geoff, Richard, David, Scott, etc., there are quite a few gurus out there!

I hope this helps.  Bernice  Smiley

I know I'm not being much help, but I really like this group picture and thought it might be of some inspiration to someone with the kind of artistic talent I wish I had:

The unity of the contrasting colors inspire me, but the real purpose of this post is to show my support for your idea. In my opinion, big group loans could use a little more info about what makes them a group and/or about each borrower, but I personally like the way they bring people together instead of having them compete for a loan.

And I think your idea to bring that very same dynamic to lenders is genius.
