Maybe there is already a feature for this and I just can't seem to find it...
But I really wish there was a way to mark the loans I'm interested in while I'm "shopping" for a borrower.  While I'm trying to decide I read through a ton of (if not all) the listed loans, and when I go to make my choice it's kind of hard to go back and find and compare some of the ones I found most interesting.  Especially with the higher number of loans available to look through lately.  I wish I could somehow mark them as I go, like a bookmark or like ebay's "watching" list.  Or if I could put all the ones I'm comparing in my basket, then compare them, and take out the ones that aren't the one I want.  (I guess I could put them all in there and wait till they fall out, but I hate to hold up those loans for that long just for me to end up passing on the majority of them.)  It would also be nice for keeping an eye on the loans that I may not be ready to fund at that particular visit, but might want to ahead and get in on if they are end up funding slowly.

Hi Redstarr,

Kiva doesn't offer a listings bookmark feature, so we just have to make something up.  Smiley  Yes

If you happen to have a loan in "My Basket" then decide not to fund it, You can click that little blue list arrow, select $0.00, then click the Update button.  That will remove the listing from your basket.  This way will tie up a listing with the clock ticking, but you don't have to wait for it to expire on its own.

You also could create a little Kiva basket folder in your web browser Links folder.  Add the listings you want to keep track of and delete the ones you don't. This way won't reserve/tie up a listing, but it also will let you track it as long as you want while you decide where to post it on Kiva Friends!

I think Ingvar mentioned this a few times recently, but I use this method as well--to open each loan Im interested in, into a new browser window...any loan that might give me the slightest interest based on type of business, location, picture, etc, I open and then when Im finished, I maximize the loan page from the deskbar one at a time.  Probably the easiest way at this point.

excellent method, and that doesn't tie up the loan from others funding it while your waiting, which is nice.

Now, I go the route Richard mentioned, and 'hold' my $25 while looking.  However, I never spend more than 10 minutes hunting, then release what's not funded by me.

Thats a great method to because if you use my method and spend 15-20 minutes opening a good number of loans into separate browser windows, you might find those that were hanging by a string fully funded when you make your way back to them--but that doesnt happen too often for me.  Actually if I open a loan into a new browser window and I see that its almost fully funded, I view it immediately so I dont potentially miss out on a would be favorite.
