how much I'd love to join: Rwanda is a partner country to my home state in Germany...but I'm already so far off my limits that I really can't and shouldn't.

So, I'll leave that to you guys! Go, go, go Rwanda!

A NEW LOAN FOR THE CHALLENGE!!

Mukankaka Marianne's 12-month loan for her tailoring business in Rwanda through VFC (a 4-star MFI) has just appeared.

Info please for the uninformed. How do I add kivafriends.org to my 'avatar description'? Only 24 characters are allowed for 'name' and that is not enough. Some people have longer names so there must be a way. Enlighten me, someone, and we will join the team.

Howard, if you look at my lender icon on Kiva.org (near yours on this Rwanda loan ) you will see that I have used the 3rd line for KivaFriends.org -- I just added that to my "city" line in my profile and it wrapped to a new line.  That's it!

It is amazing the rare countries are instantly filled!  Either of the Rwanda loans qualify, and I will list both instead of playing favorites.  One counts for the challenge, though.  These are the neediest countries according to the Human Development Index, so your efforts counts where it really matters!

My intent to pause this was to relieve people from feeling pressure to join when there were other priorities in the budget.  So please, if you are feeling a financial pinch, do as Oli did and just take a rain check for another time or challenge…whenever that may be.  Sometimes just helping someone else put “Kiva Friends” under the logo will do as much if not more than kicking in $25. 

Please save Senegal for me.  Mali and Benin are rare, so they will happen when they happen.

It is amazing the rare countries are instantly filled!  Mali is now covered!!!  More than six KF on there, too.  Benin is the last one until July because I want to join up with Senegal!  This will be for five of the African challenges, and the extras will roll into something else...
