Scott,

This loan is now 5th most popular because we piled on so fast!  The power of unity works here...

Thanks for joining me everyone.  It looks great seeing so many of us all lined up next to each other...

And Peter makes 6!  45 minutes from proposal to completion of challenge: not bad!  Smiley

(You can search the finished loans using his last name and get his pulled up--with just a few others)

A little help please.  I put in his last name and got thousands of loans.  I tried searching just in Africa and "paid back" and still got thousands.  Am I looking in the wrong place?  Forgive me if I'm being dense.

Oh shoot. You mean the old loan. No, I'd like to see that one too, please.

Edited to add:

Is this it?

Great, yes Ann, thank you.  For future reference, how did you do that?  (See you do have more to say, I hope)

African challenge is wrapping up with 8 challenges met and the 9th is waiting on a wheelchair delivery to Mozambique.  Senegal is officially met in record time.  Moussa's loan is now 3rd most popular!  I suspect this will fill quickly now.

Results from the challenge...During this challenge, a number of KF added KivaFriends to their avatar block.  Eight loans toward the challenge plus a bonus one (duplicate country).  I hope some have taken away something about the Human Development Index which really highlights the needs in Africa.

If you are interested in some background on issues in Africa, I recently read The Trouble with Africa by Robert Calderisi, who had a 30 year career in the World Bank.  He really has some great insight on the issues and has 10 solutions he advocates.

One more challenge after Mozambique and it will be another loan by me...but I will let SPCA have its turn.  Then it will be something totally different.

Well, I emailed
contactus@kivaorg
and got a lovely automated email back saying they were overwhelmed by email
and would get back to me eventually, but in the meanwhile would I like to know
Kiva's mailing address and EIN?

I'll let y'all know when they come up for air and give a real answer.

Ah, Collette, thanks, that worked.  Ann, don't worry about answering, since using the first name search worked.  Just wish I could eat some of those scallops!

I tired out at the last minute and found it easier (??) to make
a curried chicken pot pie than the scallop and broccoli "fake
pad thai" I was planning on. Gave me time to make a fresh rhubarb
apple cranberry raisin pie for dessert. Ahhhhhhhh.

Ann
