In particular, the loan to Anita Idohou has 3 KivaFriends on it already, with $375 left to fund.  She has a nice specific 12-month business plan.

And there are now SIX KivaFriends on the loan to Anita Idohou in Benin, so we have met another Loan Challenge item!  ($200 left to fund, if anyone else is looking to participate.)

Do they have to show Kiva Friends on their Profile to be counted?
Might Wolfgang be our Wolfgang here on Kiva Friends?

I'm in this loan!

Now I just have to figure out which envelope this money came from!  I think I will need to eat at home tonight, which I know, I should be doing anyway!

Hi Dan,

Actually, not only must it appear in your profile, but according to Colette's post, it must appear under your name which means that it must show up under your photo image that appears in the "Lender's to this Entrpreneur" section of a loan listing.

So for example... Dan (AccountAbility) doesn't get included in any of the loan challenges currently because while he has KivaFriends.org in his profile, he doesn't  Undecided*GASP - THE HORROR* Shocked have it under his name on his image in the area I described above.

I have found that if you want to have KivaFriends.org to show up under your name as a working link, you should put the following in the City field in the My Account section of your Kiva account:

http://KivaFriends.org

You can then use the State/Province field for your City/State or City/Province. For example, in the State/Province field, I put: SF Bay Area CA.

Hope that's helpful,

-Scott

Thanks a lot for your concern, Dan.
Indeed it is me - just discovered this thread, and quickly updated my Profile according to the helpful instructions by Scott.

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

Many of us (including AccountAbility) have Kiva Friends.org listed on our profiles.
Some of us have Kiva Friends inserted in their name and location.
Others have kivafriends.org as a live link connected directly to Kiva Friends.

In both of these cases, the lender profile is being used differently than Kiva intended.  Not necessarily bad, although I thought Kiva had reprogrammed their site a while ago to eliminate hot links on borrower pages.

I'm new this month and the hot link worked for me... although now that you mention this, I'm afraid to go back and try it again for fear that it has stopped working, so someone else will have to report if it still works or not.
