Hello,

Wow!  I turn around for a couple of days and Benin shows up, so congratulations on making Benin!  I am using a different keyboard and mouse and computer, so I will consolidate when I get back to more familiar territory.  SAVE, please, purty please, the last country for me to join in.

After forth of July, I will join Senegal with five others as the challenge.

Many of us (including AccountAbility) have Kiva Friends.org listed on our profiles.
Some of us have Kiva Friends inserted in their name and location.
Others have kivafriends.org as a live link connected directly to Kiva Friends.

In both of these cases, the lender profile is being used differently than Kiva intended.  Not necessarily bad, although I thought Kiva had reprogrammed their site a while ago to eliminate hot links on borrower pages.

Dan
Both of my hot links still work, KivaFriends.org & one other. So does yours Scott.

My KivaFriends link does not work.  I can't find a place in my lender profile to change the information in any way that can make it a "hot link."  Can anybody out there let me in on the computer-gobbledygook I have to do to make it work? (please answer by PM, as I won't be here for the next 5 days and will probably miss most of the posts.  Thank You

Hello Folks!

I am back in town, and I made the Senegal loan for all those African challenges.  Here it is!

http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=55101&_tpos=1&_tpg=1

I had planned to sort of get a consensus on a loan, but realistically there were three loans.  This was the only one which had enough space for four others to easily join me to meet the Senegal challenge.  I also like that he has been a Kiva borrower before.  His previous loan had a number of KivaFriends on it.  (You can search the finished loans using his last name and get his pulled up--with just a few others)

So there you are.  If four of you would like to join me on this penultimate African challenge (the wheelchair is in progress still and will be the final one), great.  If not, you all can be free to find five for a different loan in Senegal.  I just thought I would give a head start should folks wish to take that.

I'll join you on the loan to Moussa Ba.  I was on his previous loan, and he repaid the 12-month loan in just shy of THREE MONTHS.  This gentleman comes well recommended: good choice, Colette!

Thumbs Up

Diane,

Thank you for flushing out some details and then joining on Moussa Ba's loan.

I will let the SPCA challenge run without any new challenges.  I just promised to come after July 4th for the loan to Senegal, so I am following through on that.  Here is a link to the SPCA challenge :

I know there are lots of animal lovers here.  This is a great opportunity to donate to their cause and get the tax deduction while still having some Kiva participation.  If you have some spare change in your budget, it is an opportunity.  I am thinking that this one will go fast...

Having read Diane's recommendation I could not resist any longer.

I am in, too.

 Thumbs Up

Best wishes,
Wolfgang.

Me too

Holy smokes, that makes 5... one more and we've probably got the fastest met challenge on our hands... looking at the posting times, it's only been 31 minutes and 25 seconds since Colette posted...
