I've been keeping an eye on a particular loan for the last few hours.  Only $50 was still needed to be raised and I thought I'd chip it in if it was still there at the end of the night.  I just checked it again and $75 was still needed.

Is this because someone had the loan in their basket and never checked out?

Thanks,
Amy

BTW, this is my first post.  Hello, everyone.

Hi Amy :

 Welcome

Yes, Amy, that's exactly the explanation.

On the page where the loans are listed, you'll see " % Raised". This is accurate. If you then click on the actual loan page, on the upper right hand side, you'll see the amount "Raised so far" This figure, Raised So Far" includes amounts people have put in their baskets but have not in fact "checked out". Eventually, if the lender hasn't "checked out", hi/her basket is emptied.

Hope this helps!

Glad you asked the question. Pls doesn't hesitate to ask more questions as they come up.

Rick

Welcome

You're absolutely right. When you put a loan in your basket, it's "reserved" for you. If someone doesn't check out or clears the loan out of the basket, it raises the amount still needed.
