Firefox is releasing its newest version today. As part of the
Download Day they are attempting to set a world record for most downloaded software within 24 hours.
You can start downloading it at 10am PST (1pm EST, 5pm GMT) on this site:
http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord/If you use Firefox already, I'd highly recommend the upgrade. It features a nice performance improve and some nifty features. What I like most is the intelligent URL bar: As you begin to type a URL (or anything) it begins to search through sites you've browsed before. It doesn't just check the URL, but also the thread title or the name of your favorites.
Let's say you might want to find this thread again, simply typing "Firefox" would show you a list that included this thread. With a click (or using the "down" key) you could select it and go there. Makes it much easier to find something where you can't recall where you got it from!
edit: When you use Firefox 3, I'd highly recommend testing its full-screen mode. Just hit F11 to get in and out of it. To see the bar for URLs and your tabs, just move the mouse to the top of the screen and it'll come down.
