If anyone on KivaFriends would like to volunteer to join the moderator staff, such as it is, I suggest a PM to Joe.  I know he will be looking for more help.

I had already planned to resign as a moderator this weekend, but Henry beat me to it.  As of right now I'll plan to stick around with a mod hat under my arm until there is some reinforcement in the ranks.  As Joe says, it's not often that mods need to step in, but when they do it can be thankless and stressful and require moderate and temperate responses and the ability to withstand the griping that will surely follow, so it's not for everyone.  But I feel sure that there are at least a couple-few of you out there who will step up to the plate with the greater good in mind.

be well,
--Diane.

What a loss for this forum, if two excellent and very committed moderators will stop moderating here... Sad

I didn't visit this forum for a few days and was very surprised to read all this.

I know moderating is not always the most gratefull job and whatever decision you make there will always be people who will disagree. You hardly hear it when things are going well, but you will hear it when people would like to see things differently. That being said it is very nice to be in the heart of it all, especially a forum like this.

Thank you both very much, Diane and Henry for all your work to make this forum the wonderfull place it is. I hope the new moderators will follow the same line and continue the job the way you have been doing it.

 Thank You
