Now, I did not drag him into this, and I did
not talk about Kiva 100% of the time, and
I did not whine or bribe or whisper
"Kiva, Kiva, Kiva" into his ear while he
slept. None of that.

All I did was bring this loan to his attention:

http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&action=about&id=53443

and that was all it took. He spent 5 weeks in
San Juan this spring and so it hit him smack
in his dear sweet generous heart. And man
o man, I think he was the last on one that boat.
There was something like a feeding frenzy going
on last night.

So welcome, my dear one.

I don't think you'll see him in Kiva Friends (the
only online community he partakes in is
Daily Kos and that keeps him busy enough),
but I'm just so glad to see him in Kiva. That
makes 4 of us now: me, the SS, his granddaughter
and his sort-of-sister-in-law (bro's ladyfriend).

A good day in our little corner of Kiva Land.

Well, Glenda, I don't think he'll be joining KF anytime soon, but
I'm just glad he's joined Kiva and made his first loan. I'm
now envisioning the two of us and his granddaughter doing
a loan together some day.

Have a terrific journey.

Good job bringing your man along!

My hubby doesn't have the kind of time on his hands that I do.  (His hard work enables me to have such a slacker job. ) So it's not likely he'll ever be an active lender on his own or make it to the forum, but I'm really excited about how interested he's become lately in my Kiva activities.  He's taken a genuine interest lately in hearing about who I'm loaning to and why and such.  Monday, he was even able to remind me to put a pin in my map for my newest loan before I even got to it.  When I was telling the other day about one of my loans making a payment, he could already remember details about that entrepreneur.  Even if they aren't lenders themselves, spouses that can share your excitement sure make it even more fun.
