Can anyone recommend a financial advisor in the San Francisco Bay Area? I am looking for someone who promotes investing in socially responsable ways. Someone who thinks outside the box.....

I can't make a recommendation, but you should be able to find "social responsibility" funds. They invest in companies that have a good track record, but I don't think there's some standard that defines it. In my experience those funds perform below average - just something to keep in mind.
