So I sit here today with Lily sleeping in her bouncy chair next to me.  Undecided Sigh, not only is it a Sunday, but it is a Sunday after a holiday which means the net is very sleepy.

I hit the "Show all recent posts on Kiva Friends" link and the same most recent post is always at the top....

So, when this happens to you - Where do you go next? What I mean is, what are your other favorite interesting web sites that you visit on a regular basis when KivaFriends has no new posts to read and nobody (heaven forbid!!) is in the chat room?

Here are my favorites to check out regularly (No Saabs, I promise) - No need to mention Kiva.org or KivaFriends.org as they are a given:

1. News.com - I check this daily for my tech news.

2. DethPSun.com - To see if my favorite painter has posted anything new to his blog.

3. LinkedIn.com - Just seeing if any new friends or colleagues are around.

4. DrudgeReport.com and CNN.com and SFGate.com and NYTimes.com - All for late breaking news.

5. VersionTracker.com/macosx/ - for the latest in MacOSX software.

What's your list (say upto your top 10)...

When the Sainted Spouse was in Guatemala this spring,
a site I frequented, oh, every few hours or so was:

http://www.myforecast.com/bin/earthquake.m?city=63470&metric=false

And then, if he'd had a little tremor, I'd Google Earth it, measure
and tell him how far away it was. That would be the way
he'd get info (from Maine) about what was happening
in his world (in Guatemala).

Funny, I haven't checked that site since he got home.....

If you asked the Sainted Spouse, he'd say Daily Kos,
at http://www.dailykos.com/

I tend to allocate my "Web time" in cycles.  When I'm not here, I'm usually at Wikipedia (RichardF) sprucing up portals,

...or I'm over at Change.org (Richard F) tricking encouraging folks to participate in KivaCool

I like this thread!

Recent California/Nevada quakes:  living in the great state of Denial, AKA California, you need to know:  was that an earthquake, or just a truck going by?
US gas price "temperature" map: see, in brilliant color, just how much more us Californians are paying for gas  Pissy
And for Canadians: Canada gas price "temperature" map

Fool.com - stock market news, opinions, etc.  An offshoot of this is Fool Caps, which is essentially a fantasy stock-picking area of fool.com.  I'm happy to report I'm usually somewhere between 500 and 1000 out of 60,000 players...but don't ask me how.  (I'm big on CRDN, optimistic about AUTH, and have done really well with POT!)

icanhascheezburger.com - your home for all your LOLcat needs!
cuteoverload.com - cute animals of all kinds
ihasahotdog.com - equal time for dogs...LOLdogs
don't know what a LOLcat is?  read this.

Time to go!  but here's my current fav:   Laugh
