What a disappointment.

Thanks Amanda, the moderators learned of this activity earlier today and this member has been banned from KivaFriends.  Our apologies to those who received PMs from him before we closed him down.  (He was going through the membership list alphabetically, and we shut him down just as he was targeting someone in the A's.)

 Thank You

Yes, thanks Diane and the rest of the moderator team - you do so much behind the scenes (and I can't even imagine how much) but when something like this comes up I am glad our name is further down the alphabet.

so thanks from here too - jan

I found yet another post that this guy posted on a Colorado Fan website claiming he was 'Rev. Billy' and needed money for 'Xmas', and then prattled on about the inappropriate use of lasers in sporting events.

Has anyone gotten scam messages from Kiva lenders??  I just received this lender message:

Quote
hy can you loan my some money i give back in a week or twol pls    sorry for that hope i dont offend you

It is from a Kiva lender who has made four loans, two of which are my loans too.  I wonder if someone hacked into his account.  Has anyone seen anything like this?
