Philosophy, Religion & SpiritualityClearly, the mission of Kiva – to connect people through lending for the sake of alleviating poverty – is based on an ethical imperative. It's not surprising, then, that Kiva Friends discussions occasionally find their way to examining the underpinnings of a Higher Power from a diversity of philosophical, religious and spiritual perspectives.

Crunching NumbersHow soon before Kiva lends a bazillion dollars? How many loans do you have to people wearing hats? These questions and more may be answered in the following topics...or maybe not.

Fundraising DrivesKiva-related fundraising drives are quite popular with Kiva Friends. Of course, most of these activities are related to funding Kiva Entrepreneur loans. They may be related to ongoing shopping and affiliate programs, short-terms drives with a specific theme, and efforts to support specific entrepreneurs. Some fundraising drives go beyond funding loans and involve additional donations, such as to Kiva, its Field Partners, or entrepreneurs and their families to help meet an identified need.
