I just discovered the map view.  Grin

Now I want to loan in various countries just to add new  connecting lines. I saw Bosnia And Herzegovina loans popped up today so I funded one.

Thanks Peter for mentioning how much better Opera is at handling these pages than IE!  Not being a techie I wondered if the extreme slowness of my Kiva pages loading was due to the new map feature, and thanks to Christopher for explaining it for a non-techie like me!  Although I find these maps really intriguing (I really love maps!), I was getting increasingly frustrated with trying to pull up Kiva pages with Internet Explorer, and like Wolfie Smiley, was wondering if something really bad was wrong with my computer!  I was amazed with the difference in Opera.   Thumbs Up

I've added a fix to Lender Page Map View which should address the browser crashing issues for our more, um, enthusiastic lenders.  Thanks to Kay, Fred, and a few others for pointing out the problem, and thanks to all for providing us with the real-world testing.  As you probably know we do the best we can with QA, but we rely on you to hammer on the newest features when they go live.

For those interested, we're limiting Lender Page maps to a random sampling of 500 loans from the lender's portfolio.  This provides a good approximation of overall portfolio distribution without requiring rampant Opera installs.

Thanks again!

I second that, Jeremy!  Thanks for all your hard work! Thumbs Up

More than that, I apologize it has taken me so long to notice the "fix," since I've still been using Opera! Shocked
