For me, it does not feel enough to click on a donation-website. I need to do much more, and to try to make more people join. *humming John Lennon's "Imagine" in the background* Currently 24 loans

I'm an Internationalista:

- born, raised, and college educated in The Netherlands
- lived a while in Central America
- further educated, working and living in the US
- strong affiliation with Perú

What should I vote? (I voted... North America since I actually live there)

I'm from Canada, born and raised.

I grew up in a large immigrant community so I understand all the various struggles going on around the world. My friends are from all over the globe and have gone on to do some great things.

Im very grateful for organizations like Kiva. I can make a donation while ebaying for crap I dont really need, its the 21st century baby!

My family has lived in this western Mass area for about 300 years. I have lived, and worked, in Southeast Asia and Australia. I have traveled to lots of other beautiful areas and hope to see some more. I have watched families gradually lose financial footing even here, as the real estate values soar far beyond the modest means of educators and agriculturalists, and laid-off industry workers.
One day New England may need its own Kiva site.

I live in Texas. I have lived all over the U.S. and have served in the Iraq war on three different tours. I am originally from New Hampshire. My family is still there. I support microfinance, philanthropy, charity, America's Second Harvest and ministry work.

I live in Barrington New Hampshire (practically neighbors with Adam's family  Smiley ).  I grew up in New Hampshire, but lived in Baltimore Maryland for awhile (loved the food & the weather, hated the crime!) and also lived for almost a year in Cambridge UK (that excursion was part of a bad relationship Grin ).    Right now I have a pretty quiet life.  We live on a small lake, and spend time taking care of pets, watching television and endlessly remodeling our ancient farmhouse.   It's a nice life.  Smiley

I'm really happy to have found Kiva, in part because it makes me feel 'connected' to a bigger world.

Thanks, Shale - Added myself to the map.  Wish I were smart enough to make my own lender map, as some of you have done, but haven't quite gotten myself to try it yet.  Computers, wonderful as they may be, are not transparent to some of us!   Huh? One of these days........ Cheers, Wood Fairy Glenda
