Is there much Kiva promotion activity on Craigslist? I do tons of on-line marketing and Craigslist is one of our biggest tools. Last time I checked it was the 7th most visited site on the web. The Craigslist staff is famously supportive of good causes, and Kiva might be right up their alley. And even if they don't bite, just doing some creative listing on craigslist will get tons of traffic to kiva.org. Let me know what you think.

Anywhere, anytime, anyhow we can raise awareness for Kiva, I think it is a good thing. Go for it!

What a great idea!  How do you market on Craigslist?  I tended to use it for very specific searches, not browsing.   Like how do you reach someone who goes looking for used furniture, or visits the personals pages?   Do they put up banners?

Hi Devin, and welcome to you and your family.
I think marketing to craigslist is a great idea, and you should run with it.  Let us know if we can help at all. And let us know what you do, I have no idea how one markets to craigslist.

Julia
ps, I don't know if you realize but there are only about 9 Kiva employees, and they must be really busy. So I think our collective minds really can come up with things they aren't thinking of. Like craigslist!

Julia,

Unfortunately the man has yet to help out with any loans personally... Not a very solid example (yet). Cry

Jeff,
I agree.  But its cool the way he put a picture up with Colbert.  I like Colbert.
By the way, I"m not flann.
But I do seem to post an awful lot so I can understand the confusion.

DevMelJo:

What a great idea!  I know nothing about Craigslist.  Maybe you could contact them, since there are so few office staffers, and then get the details to the Kiva office if that's necessary.  It may be something you can just do for them.  How great would that be?Huh??
