we do not hear much from Kiva either...

I think you're going to be right, after all, Dagfinn. I'm thinking the Kiva staffers are not going to keep up with this site now with the drift and changes. Perhaps they will target certain areas of it, I hope. I'll be the first to be happy to be wrong. And I'll keep an eye out.

Of course for them to keep up with certain areas, we need to be diligent about what sections we add new threads to.  The moderators are probably experiencing fatigue about now.  This thread in fact probably will have little to to with loans and probably should be moved too.

I was hoping that if I could work out a KivaFriends Liaison role with Liz that we'd have a more direct link of some sort to the Kiva staff.  But I'm still waiting to hear from her, she got busy and wasn't able to schedule a call.

Do you think having such a liaison might be helpful in alleviating this concern?  If so, I'll drop her another email today and see if we can schedule something.

I felt my thead was about Kiva's participation. So I looked for the appropriate category.

The sub categories were:

Kiva Listings & Loan Recipients - Nope!

Kiva Countries - Nope!

Mark Agwonah - Nope!

KivaTube - Nope!

So I looked at the description for the base board category which is:

"Discussions about the Kiva organization, businesses, field partners, loans, lenders, general operations, help, support, opinions and your participation."

My opinion was about the Kiva organization and its participation as part of its general operations with regards to help and support here...

I thought I hit it right on so I put it here, but if it needs to be moved, by all means, feel free.

That sounds like Kiva Listings & Loan Recipients

My apologies, Scott.  Looking at the other choices I would have to agree with you.

Are there post missing from this thread?  it doesn't make much sense to me.  Huh?

To summarize, Henry, Scott was responding to Dagfinn's post on another thread that perhaps Kiva staff wasn't very responsive to the Kiva Friends posts.

Scott further opined that perhaps with the large amount of posts here that really have nothing much to do with Kiva that Kiva staff would not have the time to wade through to keep up with areas that really do affect them.

I then suggested that we really have no hope of Kiva Staff reading threads here unless we are all diligent in keeping threads directly affecting Kiva on subject.
I then muddied the waters by suggesting that this thread might be in the wrong section as well.

I was corrected in that erroneous thought.

Diane in the middle of all that went back to the basic idea of how to get the connection with Kiva staff to work better (as you, Henry, have spent some time doing also over the course of time).

I like to think I've become diligent about where I post so as to keep things organized. My posting links back to Dagfinn's original post in the "Re: Help! One of my favorite loans is getting ready to expire!" thread, but I was taking his comment and, really, focusing on what I felt was a new topic, so I started a new one in what I thought was the most appropriate place for it while including a link back to the original thread.

If you're indicating that the content of the whole new thread doesn't make any sense at all as something to discuss, I would simply have to respect your opinion about that, which I do.

I apparently missed the thread this was linked??? to/from.  And I still don't spot the link.  Try reading this thread from Post # 1 if you didn't know where it came from.

The very first post has no links - it's just this:
