My very first instinct when making my initial loans yesterday was, "Hey! I'd like to meet these people!" Has anyone else had this experience?

Wouldn't it be cool if we at least had a way to send folks a personal message of support?

:)Hi!  Yes, I'd love to meet any or all of them.  I've visited kids I sponsor all over the world and always find it rewarding.  There is a way to send letters of support, or at least there's supposed to be.  When the loan is dispersed you receive notification and it is kept in a "Journal" at the end of the person's page.  You can send a "Reply" to the journal entry, and it's supposed to be transmitted to the borrower.  I've written a number of them, but have no way of knowing if any reached any borrowers.  I hope so.  Wood Fairy Glenda

This was one of my first thoughts when I started loaning, I have been reading up on the Kiva Fellows program http://www.kiva.org/about/support#Kiva_Fellows as perhaps a way of helping and meeting some of the people involved.

Is anyone else thinking about the program, or have any experiences of it to share?

**UPDATE**
Just stumbled across Shelby Clark's blog at http://kivafieldrep.blogspot.com/ - looks like an awesome experience.

If you think you're too small to make a difference try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito, or give kiva.org a try.

I'm trying to figure out how I could manage the Kiva Fellows program and run my own business simultaneously. Right now I don't think it's possible, but it's very very tempting!!!

Looking forward to reading Shelby's blog!
