92 listed but most are hanging there waiting for people to checkout; not much capacity left.

It almost feels like it's back to the old days when we had to almost fight to get a loan before someone else did!

Hopefully they have a new bunch of loans to launch after the weekend.

60 listings! Yes, it does feel like the old days and the panic lending when we would be down to 8 or 9 loans available.

It's great not seeing any loans with only one or two days left.   Confetti

These have been a remarkable couple of days.  The great thing is that Kiva has funded nearly 5,000 new loans in the past week and many people obviously still have a lot of credit left to lend.  We only hope that Kiva is receiving sufficient donations to maintain and expand its operations.

Starting tomorrow the competition for loans should be very fierce.  It looks like we will be down to zero loans by tomorrow morning, and with 1 loan being funded every 13 seconds it will be tough for us all to relend the credit that we have.  A wonderful problem when you think about it.

What records are being set just now?  Is anyone keeping tabs?

I actually like to see the shelves cleaned out from time to time, particularly after the past several months with so many loans, and so many lagging.

There may be lots of new loans on Monday, but there are also a lot of Kiva credits in the  hands of the lenders. I imagine things will see-saw for a time, then settle into a state of dynamic equilibrium.

Then there's the Christmas rush. . . .

Speaking of donation for operating expenses:
I have all my Kiva credit used up (for now). Up until now, I have not paid donations for money that I received as Kiva credit, because part of this money has been sitting in Kiva's account accumulating interest. With the new system, I plan to make a donation to Kiva for every loan (new and relending). Has anybody experience with Paypal processing small amounts e.g $2.50? And how does mixing Paypal payments (for donations) and relending from Kiva credit work?

It seems to work just fine on both counts  Smiley    I don't think it'd make a difference that I use PayPal Australia....

EDIT: As to how mixing credit & PayPal, you make your loan as per usual & it will ask you about making a donation.  Just click "donate" or "yes" (whatever that button is), & when your total due comes up, your Kiva credit will be applied.  The remainder will be charged to your PayPal account funds (or withdrawn automatically from your nominated bank account if you have nothing in your PayPal account).  Happy lending - better be quick, we're into the 40s!

Hey Uili, I don't think the amount matters to Paypal at all - could be a penny or $500 .... it's just electronic bits to them!
