Just curious as to the general feeling regarding this.

Remember if one team can do it, all teams can do it.
Updates and discussions = any topic - hey join us - we just broke 500 loans - etc etc.

SMILE!!!  Teams Love you!

A team thread or, better yet, a separate forum section set aside for team info, would be fantastic.

One of my great fears is that those KFers who are on teams are going to drift away from KF into
their team communication. It's one thing for non-KF Kivans, but I so cherish this odd little
group of KFers that I don't want to lose that focus through the dissipation (is that even a word,
much less the one I want?) of the team communications...

With the large number of KF teams, the discussions might just be a little too spread out, even more so if they're secluded in another forum. I'd have preferred a single KF teams, but hey Smiley That being said, people should feel free to talk about what interests them.

We are all kind of guessing where the Teams concept will go over time.  But for now, it doesn't seem much different than the rest of the conversations around here.

We have threads about certain types of loans, now we have some teams around certain types of loans.

We had quilters banding together to do something good.  Now we have teams that band together to do something good.

I might change my mind if "competition" gets carried away.  Or if a particular team gets totally wrapped up in their own separate world.  But for now, it's definitely something of interest in the Kiva saga.

I like discussing teams, it's fun, and a part of Kiva, for sure. I like Ann's idea of having a section for team discussions, since I think it will be pretty popular. My teams are in 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and 9th.  Roll Eyes Tongue

Um... on the default list in the community center... It's not "place"... I'm not calling it that.. just the order that they show up when I go there.

Uh, it could be that I like teams, or I like belonging, or I like little colorful shiny icons, or I get distracted easy, or I have no life, or I have too much time, or I want to hedge my bets, or I can't make decisions, or, oh hey, look another team... brb...

I would suggest that the team captains make a page over at KIVAPEDIA that lists all the groups that are run by KIVAFRIENDS.
