I am wondering if of all the defaults how many fall into each category:
Fraud by the MFI Inept MFI Borrower default due to political situation Borrower default due to natural disaster Borrower's business failed Borrower had financial crisis Borrower refused to repay loan (can do so but won't) Borrower became ill or died
I am betting that Fraud would get most of them...how 'bout it Kiva, want to share some stats on this?

Does anybody have anything new they gleaned from the last call? I am not in a position to participate -- and thought most of the information was out, but I'd like to know if I missed anything. Dan

Here is a very sad story about the impacts of environmental pollution in Ecuador: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=aymV5i.4yp.E&refer=homeIt's such a shame that MIFEX was a huge bust in Ecuador. I hope that Kiva can find a reputable MFI to work with in Ecuador, as it seems that the people there could really benefit from a well-run MFI.
